Travel in different season:
In spring, you can enjoy the minority’ festival, azalea covering mountains and great pieces of cole flower around the village. The terraced field fulfilled water is another attraction for the tourist, the shining field will shock you. For the cool weather several pieces of warm coat is necessary.
In summer, the peaceful and quiet remote minorities village, and the colorful minorities marketing is the main attraction. In the market day you can also see the minorities women and girls in their beautiful national dress and some special commodity for local people. If we are lucky, we can meet wedding and other interesting things. Umbrella is necessary for the rain and strong sunshine. Suntan is also good choice in the trip of July and August in the southeast of Guizhou.
The autumn is the Gold season for travel in Guizhou. The terraced field on the mountain express different season. With the increasing of height the crop turn into yellow from the bottom to the top of mountain. Near the end of the harvest, all kinds of ceremony, celebration and festival are starting. The comfortable weather and various kinds of festival will make you have exciting holiday. Of course, umbrella and some coat are necessary for the light rain and coolness in the night and early morning.
The winter of this region is also fulfilled with minorities’ festivals. The shortage is that the weather is not good as in autumn, colder and damper in the mountain. But the snow sense of subtropical mountainous region is very beautiful and hard to see. Enough clothes to keep your body warm is necessary in January, especial the snowing day. In fact, it is very warm in sunny day in most part of Guizhou.
Entering:
Now it is very convenient to enter the southwest of China. There are many airlines to international city such as Bangkok, (everyday between Bangkok and Kunming.) Hongkong(on Tuesday and Friday, between Guiyang and Hongkong)and to the most cities of China (for example Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou et), which have many international flights to USA and Europe.
For those from Canada and Us, you can choose to land at Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou and The transfer flight to Guiyang in the same day. For those from Europe, you can choose either to Domestic cities to Guiyang, or from Bangkok to Kunming at you convenience and then Guiyang.

Stay and food:
The accommodation of Guizhou is also much better than last ten year. In Guiyang city, the capital of the province, have a many good hotels and ten of the hotel is four-star standard and over four-star. Although in Kaili, there are two three-star hotels. They can offer both eastern and western style foods for you. The local wood house and local style food in village should not be missed in the trips. These things will be impressive experience for you in China. In the families’ wood house the hospitable villager will offer homemade food for you.
The accommodation in Yunnan and Guangxi is also better. And the traffic condition is better than Guizhou recently.
