Aug 13 Puge – Butuo
Drive to Butuo to discover more about Yi, the Yi live in Butuo area have a cloak which has the shape of eagle wing. Stay at Butuo
Aug 14 Butuo
Take part in the Torch Festival. Girls will show their nice dress, we can also see some activities like horse racing, sheep fighting. At night, people will gather around bonfires, singing, dancing and playing musical instruments. Stay at Butuo.
Aug 15 Butuo – Meigu
Drive to Meigu to discover another group of Yi, the traditional way is still work in this area, people still believe on the sorcerer, we can often meet them in the market. Overnight in Meigu.
Aug 16 Meigu – Xichang
Drive to Xichang, it’s a important city in this area, known as the base of Space rockets, you can find a nice Yi museum here and a nice lake around. Overnight in Xichang.
Aug 17 Xichang
Visit the Yi museum, city tour, then leave Xichang for Chengdu or Kunming by flight or by train, finish the trip.
