The best season for visiting this region is from December to April, because the terraced rice fields are full of water. And it’s subtopic climate here, always with mild and humid winter.
Day 1 Kunming
Arrive in Kunming, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Kuming.
Day 2 Kunming—Jianshui
Drive to Jianshui, discover the southern Yunan. Jianshui is an ancient garrison city in the borders of China and Vietnam, has some beautiful traditional architecture include very gorgeous Confucius Temple built in 13th century, Twin dragon bridge, and Family Garden, fine and rare example of traditional Chinese residence. Overnight in Jianshui.
Day3 Jianshui—Yuanyang
Visit the magnificent Temple of Confucius, built in the thirteenth century, and the bridge of double dragon. Continue to go to village of Tuanshan and visit the residence of the family Zhang. Drive to Yuanyang, a region populated by the Hani and Yi. Overnight in Yuanyang
Day 4 Yuanyang
Discover the super gorgeous terraced rice paddies, which have been built and maintained for generations. Walk in the Hani villages nestled amid the “Mirror of Heaven”. Overnight in Yuanyang
Day 5 Yuanyang—Jinping
Transfer further south to Jinping in morning, Immersion in the local ethnic diversity with a visit to the village of Yi minority, the village of the Hani minority and the village of Red Yao minority, all located in the vicinity of Jinping. Overnight in Jinping
Day 6 Jinping
Drive to mengla, visit Dai ethnic villages on th banke of mengla river. And then go to Pu’hot spring near Dai village of Jiumeng. You can bathe in small private cabin (optional).
Day 7 Jinping—Mengzi
We leave for Mengzi, the headquarters of the former consulate of France in the early twentieth century. Visit the old railway station railway —- Vietnam Yunnan, which was built by the French in the twentieth century. Stroll in Nanhu Park in the center of the city. Overnight in Mengzi
Day 8 Mengzi—Shilin (stone forest)
Drive to shilin, walk in the stone forest for nice karst landscape.
Day 9 Shilin(stone forest)—Kunming
Drive to Kunming, visit The Western Hills, Taihua Temple and Dian Lake. Overnight in Kunming
Day 10 Kunming
Depart Kunming by flight, finish the trip.
