Treking from Tang’an to Zhaoxing
27 June 2008Standing at Tang’an village on top of the hill, looking down toward Zhaoxing(which is the biggest dong village in Guizhou of China) direction, the light outline of mountains faraway like to be floating on these terraced fields, the villages are just scattered in the fields and clouds, sometimes desspeared in the fog, sometime not.
Villages are standing under the light fog, as quite as a virgin. but everytime when breeze brows through the drumtowers of villages, the voice of drum like to be heard, and with the accompanyment of the waving of fog-sea, the villages would take slight fog as face-vail, and dance itselves. I think that, it is only happened in the morning rain, when sun comes out while fog disspeared, the villages would stand quitely in the fields again, like a dressed up Dong lady, gorgerous and unsophisticated. Suddenly I understand, to them, maybe the dancing in the morning rain, is just their ritual morning excercising.
Treking from Tang’an to Zhaoxing, slight rain came again. Farmers were working in the terraced fields, plantinging rice themselves, they didn’t pay attention to us, they just take us as irrelevant pass-by, I know, just because of this, the terraced fields on both sides of the path shows its true face, without all kinds of decoration, but full grace and atractiveness. Farmers’ concertration and elegance, like the fog and rain all over the mountains gradually scattered away alone the outline of terraced fields, touched all of us.
The end of path, is Zhaoxing old vilage.
When we walked into the village-gate of Zhaoxing, blue sky comes out while the rain and fog disspeared, I was thinking that, the steps of terraced fields we just passed must be showing its other kind of charming by reflection of morning sunshine.
